    Gyrocopter crashes at Taeiri Aerodrome

    The pilot of a gyrocopter has walked away from a crash at Taieri Aerodrome near Mosgiel.


    The pilot of a gyrocopter has walked away from a crash at Taieri Aerodrome near Mosgiel, south of Dunedin.

    Shortly after 5.30pm on Sunday, police were notified that someone had seen a rotor come off a gyrocopter as it was coming into land.

    Police said the pilot was uninjured and a gust of wind had caught the gyrocopter as it was landing

    St John ambulance said it treated one patient with minor injuries who was transported to a medical facility.
