The Waikato men and Manawatu women have taken out the finals at the national rugby sevens tournament at Rotorua International Stadium on Sunday.

It was Manawatu's second title in three years in a game which featured three tries apiece. They beat Waikato 17-15.

In the men's final, Tasman captain James Lash opened the scoring before Waikato hit back with two tries for a 14-5 half-time lead.
