Mark Wahlberg is donating his $1.5 million reshoot fee for 'All The Money in the World' to Time's Up

There was a public outcry when it was revealed that Michelle Williams was paid just one per cent of her co-star Mark's fee for reshoots on the movie, after Kevin Spacey - who was originally playing billionaire J. Paul Getty was accused of sexual misconduct and replaced by Christopher Plummer

Sir Ridley Scott asked the actors to come back to Europe over Thanksgiving weekend last November to reshoot the necessary scenes but while Michelle was paid just $80 a day for the extra work, amounting to less than $1,000, Wahlberg's team negotiated him a fee of $1.5 million.

Williams and Wahlberg are both represented by the William Morris Endeavor agency but she was reportedly not told about the deal they had struck for Wahlberg.

However, after news of the pay deal went public, Mark announced his plan to donate his fee to the Times Up campaign, which will provide legal support to those who have experienced sexual harassment, assault, or abuse in the workplace.

He said: "Over the last few days my reshoot fee for All The Money in the World has become an important topic of conversation. I 100 per cent support the fight for fair pay and I'm donating the $1.5 million to the Time's Up Legal Fund in Michelle Williams' name."

And WME has also pledged $500,000, saying in a statement: "The current conversation is a reminder that those of us in a poition of influence have a responsibility to challenge inequities, including the gender wage gap. In recognition of the pay discrepancy on All The Money In The World reshoots, WME is donating an additional $500,000 to the Time's Up Legal Fund in Michelle Williams' name, following our $1 million pledge to the organization earlier this month. It's crucial that this conversation continues within our community and we are committed to being part of the solution."
