    Family home badly damaged by fire

    A family home in Richmond, Nelson has been badly damaged in a fire.


    A fire that badly damaged a family home in Richmond, Nelson is being investigated.

    Fire crews were called to a single-story residential building on Gladstone Road in Richmond just after midnight on Friday.

    A fire services spokesman said there was initial concern that a person was inside the home but all property occupants were accounted for.

    A fire investigator was sent to the scene on Saturday morning.

    The fire is being treated as non-suspicious.

    The house was badly damaged in the blaze and police are supporting the family at this time.
