    Motorcyclist dies after crash near Otane

    One person is dead and another is seriously injured after a motorcycle and truck collided in Hawke's Bay.


    A motorcyclist has died after a collision with a truck in Hawke's Bay.

    The crash happened on Middle Road, near Otane, at 3.30pm on Sunday, police say.

    Initial reports were that two motorcycles were involved and one collided with the truck.

    Another person has been taken to Hawke's Bay Hospital in a serious condition.

    The road is closed and diversions are in place and the serious crash unit is investigating.
