New Zealand tennis No.2 Erin Routliffe has claimed the biggest title of her career by winning an ITF Futures title in Egypt.
Routliffe, 22, held her nerve to beat American Nadja Gilchrist 6-3 7-5 in the final in Sharm El Sheikhin.
The result should result in a world ranking boost, from 789th to about 650th.
Born in New Zealand but raised in Canada, Routliffe switched allegiance to New Zealand last year.
She will join her Kiwi team-mates in Bahrain ahead of this week's Fed Cup Asia Oceania group two tournament starting on Tuesday.
