    Death of woman treated as homicide

    Police investigating the death of a woman at a property in the Hamilton suburb of Nawton have said it was a homicide.


    Police are treating the death of a woman in the Hamilton suburb of Nawton as a homicide.

    Aroha Kiwara, 28, was found at a Dominion Road house on Sunday and police said after completing a scene examination and the post mortem, her death was a homicide.

    "The investigation is continuing and we would like to hear from anyone who was in the area of Dominion Road between 10pm Saturday and 1.30pm Sunday," said Detective Sergeant Andrew Saunders.

    "There will be someone who knows what happened to Aroha and we urge them to contact police immediately."
