    Ford Trophy semi-finals confirmed

A washed-out final round of Ford Trophy one-day cricket means Central Stags will play Auckland and Northern Districts will face Canterbury in the semi-finals.

A washed-out final round of New Zealand domestic one-day cricket has cemented the Ford Trophy's top four into place.

All three of Sunday's matches were cancelled on Sunday, helping Auckland Aces retain second spot ahead of Northern Districts.

The Central Stags were already well clear in first spot.

As a result, the Stags will take on the Aces in New Plymouth in their first-versus-second semi-final, with the winner to go straight to the final.

The loser will earn a second chance, taking on the winner of the sudden-death semi-final between Northern and fourth-placed Canterbury.

Wellington Firebirds and Otago Volts fall out.

In the regular season, Auckland tweaker Tarun Nethula took the most wickets (15), while teammate Mark Chapman scored the most runs (433).
