Nelson police have charged two people with the murder of Stoke woman Tracey-Anne Harris.
Ms Harris, 43, was found dead in her Marlowe Street home in Stoke on February 11, 2016.
A 30-year-old woman, who was arrested on Wednesday in Rotorua, has been charged with murder, supplying Class A and Class B drugs, and offering to supply Class A drugs.
She will appear in Rotorua District Court on Thursday.
A 26-year-old man, who was arrested on Wednesday in Christchurch, has been charged with murder and supplying Class B drugs.
He will appear in the Nelson District Court on Monday.
Detective Senior Sergeant Jacqui Corner says the arrests come as the result of a meticulous investigation, over two years, by Nelson detectives.
"It is virtually two years to the day since Ms Harris' body was found," she said.
"Our staff have been extremely patient and professional in gathering sufficient evidence to bring this matter before the court.
"We still have a long road ahead as we take this matter through the court process, but my hope is that the tenacious work of our investigation team will bring some closure for Ms Harris' family."
