The 28-year-old actor claimed the coveted prize at the Royal Albert Hall in London for his performance in the Jordan Peele-directed hit 'Get Out', and he admitted to "going blank" once he reached the stage to make his acceptance speech

But, after regaining his focus, he subsequently said: "I feel so privileged to be in you guys' company. I'd like to thank the people for voting for us all.
"I am a product of arts funding within the United Kingdom - I'd like to thank people that financially support that."
Daniel - whose parents are originally from Uganda - used the occasion to pay a special tribute to his mother Damalie, who he dedicated his award to.
The actor said: "My mum is the reason why I started, the reason why I'm here, and the reason why I keep going. Thank you for everything.
This is award is for you."
Daniel - who also stars in the new 'Black Panther' movie - previously admitted he doesn't see any limitations on what he can achieve within the movie business.
The British star explained that if he stopped to think about his career, he fears it would put a restriction on what he's capable of.
He shared: "I don't think off-the-wall about anything.
"That's the thing that's liberated me. I just don't think, so I have no limitations. Maybe if I thought about it, maybe I'd be thinking too small. But I was just kind of like, this is what I like to do, this is where I'm at now, how can I do it more?
"But doing something is huge. To do something and not be passive is a big decision."
