    Unexplained death in Wainuiomata

    A man has been found dead at a house in Wainuiomata, Lower Hutt and police are initially treating it as unexplained.

    Police are investigating the death of a man at an address in the Lower Hutt suburb of Wainuiomata.

    Emergency services were already at the house when police were called to the scene at about 11pm on Wednesday.

    A 40-year-old man died at the address and police are now investigating. They are treating his death as unexplained.

    His death will be referred to the coroner and a post-mortem examination carried out.
