    Man dies in Morrinsville fence crash

    The sole occupant of a car that hit a fence has died at the scene of the crash in the Waikato town of Morrinsville.

    A man has died after the car he was driving hit a fence in Morrinsville.

    Waikato police say the crash happened on Studholme St, near Goodwin Ave, just before 4pm on Tuesday.

    The man, who was the sole occupant of the car, died at the scene.

    The serious crash unit is investigating and the road is closed, with diversions in place.
