    Arrests after car stolen at gunpoint

    Two young people have been arrested after allegedly stealing a car at gunpoint in Tokoroa.

    Two young men have been arrested following the gunpoint robbery of a car in Tokoroa.

    The incident took place in Stanley Street in the Waikato town at about 1pm on Tuesday.

    The men - it is believed they were in their mid-to-late teens - were arrested in Putaruru on Wednesday morning.

    Police say inquiries are continuing.
