Joaquin Phoenix and his sister have reportedly bought a home together in Los Angeles

The 'Walk The Line' actor and his sibling Summer - whose divorce from Casey Affleck was finalised in September after 11 years of marriage - are said to have purchased the 1903 craftsman home late last year

According to legal documents obtained by website The Blast, the 43-year-old actor bought the property with his 39-year-old sister listed as a co-owner.

As reported by the online publication, the siblings do not live together, with Joaquin simply listed on the property and loan documents.

The million dollar house has been described on the market as a "tranquil, enclosed space, where the birds love to gather", and it's noted that it certainly isn't a "cookie cutter home".

The property was recently "fully updated, yet maintains many of its craftsman features", including a large covered porch, new kitchen and baths, an open-concept kitchen, new appliances and many "unique touches".

Actress Summer's talented older siblings also include 23-year-old brother River, and sisters Rain, 45, and Liberty, 41.

She shares two children - Indiana, 13, and Atticus, nine - with former partner Casey, 42, and initially split from the 'Manchester By The Sea' in November 2015, although they waited another four months to publicly confirm their break up.

The former couple had been married for one decade, but prior to tying the knot they had been together for 16 years.

And it was reported Summer cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for calling time on their relationship, which Casey also stated when he filed the legal documents.

At the time of their split, the pair insisted their decision to part was "amicable" and they will remain "very close friends".

Speaking previously about the end to their romance, a representative of Casey said: "Casey Affleck and Summer Phoenix have amicably separated. They remain very close friends."
