John Boyega misses "everything" about London
The 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' actor regularly jets out of his hometown of London for filming but he really misses the British capital when he's way
17 March 2018
Asked what he misses about London when he's away filming, he told BANG Showbiz at the UK premiere of 'Pacific Rim Uprising' at London's Leicester Square on Thursday (15.03.18) "Everything. Food! Particularly my mom's food. I miss everything about London, it’s my home. I miss the straight faces in public, I miss the gloomy weather sometimes - it gives me a reason to stay inside! I miss it in every sense. I’m a Londoner! This is my home!"
Meanwhile, John previously admitted he finds fame "very strange".
When asked what has changed the most for him since finding fame, John said: "Schedule, schedule, schedule. You’re not at home a lot of the time - you’re in different places. You get to experience different countries and meet new people - people who know you before you know them. It’s very strange. Normally, you introduce yourself, and now you introduce yourself and the person doesn’t automatically say, ‘Well, this is my name’; they go, ‘Oh, I know.’ It’s different."
And the London-born star thinks he is "spoiled by the amount of freedom" he still has, and is making the most of the "peace" whilst he still can.
He added: "I have to say I’ve been spoiled by the amount of freedom I still have. I don’t understand - I shouldn’t have that freedom, but it is very peaceful for me."
