Anthony Head's partner tells him to "f**k off" every time he proposes

The 64-year-old actor has been in a relationship with Sarah Fisher for more than 30 years, but she still has no interest in tying the knot

Anthony - who has actress daughters Emily, 29, and Daisy, 27, with Sarah - quipped: "She just isn't interested. She says f**k off and then runs off to throw up."

Despite this, Anthony already considers himself to be "married" by every other measure and he's admitted he couldn't imagine his life without Sarah.

The British star told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "I just can't imagine my life without Sarah. And I definitely wouldn't want to."

Anthony and Sarah spent a period of their relationship living on separate sides of the Atlantic Ocean, with the actor pursuing his career ambitions in the US.

And he credits Sarah with convincing him to persist even when he was struggling to find acting work.

Anthony - who eventually secured an eight-year stint working on 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' - said: "In the early days, I was unemployed and I would sit in my room, crying on the phone, saying, 'I think I should come home.' But Sarah told me to stick it out and go to acting classes. And that's exactly what I did.

"Of course I flew back and forth, and Sarah and the girls came out to LA for holidays. But, effectively, during that time Sarah was a single parent at home. It wasn't easy for either of us. Dropping them at the airport, I'd be in pieces. It was really difficult.

"When I did finally leave the show, we were all driving to the wrap party in LA and Daisy piped up from the back, 'When I think about it, you've been away for nearly half of my life!' And I thought, 'Uh-oh, it's definitely time to go home.'"
