Taupo rescue helicopter pilot says it would be a shame if service scrapped
A Taupo rescue helicopter pilot says it would be a shame for the service to be scrapped, as it has some of the country's best crew and paramedics.

The Greenlea Rescue Helicopter has been kept busy with seven call-outs in five days, and almost fifty in the past two months.
Pilot Nat Every says the crew has decades of experience dealing with conditions around Taupo.
He says it would be hard for pilots to perform at their best if they're attending callouts in unfamiliar regions.
Proposed changes to the country's rescue helicopter bases mean Taupo, Rotorua, and Te Anau could be scrapped.
