Father and daughter rescued after two days at sea
A father and daughter stranded at sea held on to each other as cold temperatures set in.
29 April 2018
42-year-old Michael Graham and his seventeen-year-old daughter Tania-Rose spent two nights drifting after they lost power to their 26-foot timber launch.
He says they were two-kilometres off Great Barrier Island when they lost all power to their boat.
They had no engine, no lights and no communication - and only half a bottle of water between them.
Mr Graham says determined to keep them both alive - they cuddled each other to create body warmth and tried to stay dry, which was difficult as the waves crashed over the boat.
