National says Education Minister panicking as he failed to account for normal government spending
National says the Education Minister is panicking in the lead up to the Budget, because he failed to account for business as usual government spending
4 May 2018
Chris Hipkins says National didn't plan for population growth, and he's been left with a 1 billion dollar funding hole.
But National's Education spokeswoman Nikki Kaye says her party set aside an extra 1.7 billion for school property, over the last three budgets.
She says it's embarrassing for Hipkins that in his wild campaign promises, he failed to plan for standard things governments need to fund each year.
