More support for community conservation groups is needed - so volunteers don't lose interest

That's what has come out of a report by Predator Free New Zealand.
It's found smaller conservation community groups feel under-funded and undervalued, meaning they could walk away from their war against pests.
Predator Free Chairman Sir Rob Fenwick says the groups that are supposed to be supporting volunteers aren't coordinated or supportive.
He says we run the risk people who are doing terrific work are going to lose interest and walk away.
