A Christchurch man's pleaded guilty to fraud, after running a sophisticated Ponzi scheme - masked as a foreign exchange brokerage.
A spokesperson for ponzi scheme victims, Bruce Tichborn, says it's essential the government steps in.
He says life savings are being taken from elderly couples and widows.
