Industrial action on Go Bus Transport buses in Hamilton this morning

First Union says more than 80 bus drivers are striking for about two hours from 7.30am in a fight for the living wage and better conditions.

Spokesperson Jared Abbott says there's no evidence to support claims from Go Bus that it can't afford to increase workers' pay.

He says the company continues to make excuses.

Meanwhile, Go Bus says it only received official notice of the strike yesterday.
