Government's 21-million dollar early childhood care cash injection a welcome relief
The Government's 21-million dollar injection of cash into early childhood care is a welcome relief for the sector
14 May 2018
The money will be spent over four years, mainly focusing on children with behavioural and learning issues.
One industry expert believes it's a step in the right direction after the Government made the statement it will take more than one Budget to work this out.
Early Childhood Council chief executive Peter Reynolds says there's a lot of ground to make up.
He says there's been more than 10 years of cuts to the sector, and it's meant a large group of kids have had to wait more than six months to access assessment or service support.
