School bus trips will be among services disrupted in Auckland this morning

School bus trips will be among services disrupted in Auckland this morning

Around 70 Ritchies bus drivers are going on a two hour strike from 7 to 9am.

The drivers will be picketing on Great South Road in Takanini.

FIRST Union spokesman Graham McKean says they're joining rolling strikes by Pavlovich and Go Bus drivers over pay and conditions.

He says the key issues are low wages, what the company's suggesting would barely meet cost of living and will still keep them two dollars below the market rate.

Mr McKean says also their conditions, the long driver and broken shifts they have.
