DIA rejecting suggestion changes to its team will reduce the number investigating child pornography
The Department of Internal Affairs is rejecting the suggestion changes to its digital investigations team will reduce the number of people investigating child pornography
17 May 2018
National MP Amy Adams says budget constraints are forcing the department to decrease the number of inspectors working in the area from 15 to 10.
But the department denies this, and says a restructure of its team is nearly doubling the number of people working in digital safety.
It says it's not a cost saving exercise, and there's no change in censorship funding.
