    The first steps to getting 1800 new police officers


    Police will get almost 300-million-dollars in new operating funding and 17.8-million capital over the next four years in the Budget.

    Police minister Stuart Nash says it will also provide the tools for 21st century policing, including the latest technology to combat organised crime.
