Janet Jackson feels “at peace” when she’s holding her son

She said: “Day after day and night after night, holding my baby in my arms, I am at peace. I am blessed. I feel bliss. In those moments, all is right with the world.”

The ‘Rhythm Nation’ singer also praised her son for helping her realise that “love is limitless”, and teaching her the importance of caring for others.

She added: “[He] has showed me that love, no matter how deeply you believe you have experienced that emotion, can always go deeper. Love is limitless.

“And for someone like me, raised in show business where self-concern is always a priority, how fortunate I am now to be concerned, first and foremost, with the welfare of someone else.”

Despite having a chart-topping singer as his mother, Eissa’s favourite artist is Bruno Mars, as Janet says the ‘24K Magic’ singer is the first musician her son “responded to”.

Speaking to Billboard magazine, she said: “Bruno [Mars] was really the first music my son responded to.

“During and after his birth, I comforted myself with Brazilian jazz, music that always relaxes me. Then when the baby began crawling, Bruno was breaking out big and on the radio all the time. That delighted both of us.”

Janet’s love for her tot comes after her sister La Toya Jackson admitted that she found it “weird” to see her sibling as a mother at first, but now finds it “adorable”.

She said: "It's so hard for me to picture Jan being a mother. It's difficult in the beginning, because when you're not a mother and she was just always busy doing other things, but it's cute. It's adorable. It's wonderful."
