Residents are considering legal action after plans to expand a quarry in rural Christchurch have been approved

Quarrying company Road Metals has been given permission to up its operations in Yaldhurst, despite locals complaining of major health problems.
The move means the proposed site is within less than 100 metres from homes.
Lawyer and resident spokesperson Soraya Nicholas says there has been no regard for people's safety.
She says residents are constantly coughing and have reported having nose bleeds.
Residents are looking at appealing the decision in the Environment Court.
