Hundreds of protesters have been marching and chanting in Auckland's CBD in support of Palestinian refugees from Gaza

The group gathered in Aotea Square as part of a series of rallies around the world demanding Palestinian refugees and their descendants be allowed to return to what is now Israel.
It comes as Israeli soldiers shot and killed more than 50 Palestinians protesting on the border between Israel and the Gaza Strip.
Spokesperson for the Palestine Solidarity Network Roger Fowler wants New Zealand's government to close down the Israeli embassy in Wellington.
He says the government needs to send a strong message to end the atrocities.
