    A driver is now speaking with Police after a car hit and killed cyclist in Albany late last night


    Waitemata Police say the driver came forward earlier today and is now helping with inquiries.

    Emergency services were called to the intersection of Oteha Valley Road, near the north-bound on-ramp, just before 11 last night.

    The 15-year-old cyclist died at the scene, and the driver of the car left the area without stopping.

    Police inquiries are continuing.
