    Family violence callout spike leads CIB officers to help family violence team

    A spike in family violence callouts in the past week means CIB police officers have had to help the family violence team


    Rotorua police crime prevention manager, Inspector Brendon Keenan, says police were called to 69 family violence events last week ... nearly 10 a day.

    He says the number's unusually high and the CIB team was needed to help.
