    The New Zealand team has produced mixed results on the water at the latest canoe sprint world cup event in Germany


    Lisa Carrington and Caitlin Ryan advanced straight to the final of the K2 500 metres after finishing the heats with the fastest time.

    New Zealand's other pairing of Danielle Watson and Rebecca Cole finished second in their heat, before only managing seventh in their semi-final and miss out on the final.

    Kim Thompson and Britney Ford and have both progressed through to the semi-finals of the K1 500 metres, after finishing fifth and fourth in their heats respectively.
