The poll also appears to show Simon Bridges is faltering at the start line.
He has just nine percent support as preferred prime minister, while Jacinda Ardern is strong on 40 percent.
But in the party vote, National stays on the high side of a neck and neck result with Labour - 45 percent, to 42.6, with both receiving a slight bump.
The Green Party sits just under 6 percent, while Winston Peters' party struggles with a one percent drop.
