Anthony Peden has surprisingly decided to stand down as head sprint coach, having guided the men's sprint trio to unprecedented success, since taking up the role in September, 2013.
Cycling NZ CEO Andrew Matheson can't go into the reasons for Peden's departure, but says they've been talking to him about his future for a while.
Matheson says it's been a pretty tough few months for him and his decision hasn't come out of the blue.
Andrew Matheson says they'll look to advertise the head sprint coach position shortly.
