1 June 2018
Safe to Talk He Pai Ki Te Korero is a free, confidential support line for survivors of sexual assault and concerned family members.
It's also open to people who may have harmed others, and those who are thinking about causing harm.
Social Development Minister Carmel Sepuloni says sexual abuse is far too common in New Zealand.
She says around one in five women and one in 10 men report being victims of sexual abuse in their childhoods.
The helpline is available nationwide.
