White Ferns captain Suzie Bates is banking on her newly claimed record being broken
9 June 2018
During her 151 run innings in New Zealand's first one day cricket international win over Ireland, Bates passed New Zealand Cricket president Debbie Hockley as the country's most prolific run scorer in women's ODIs.
Bates says it was a special moment when it was announced over the loud speaker while she was batting.
However, she's already cast an eye as on who may pass her.
Bates says she told her teammates after the game that records are made to be broken, and she'd love to see one of the young players of the team pass her when she has retired.
