A record-breaking day for the Kiwis at the Asia-Pacific Ironman championships in Cairns

Wanaka's Braden Currie has smashed the course record and become the third New Zealand man to go under eight hours for the 3.8km swim, 180km cycle and 42km marathon.
Ironman New Zealand champion Terenzo Bozzone has finished third with Spain's Javier Gomez second in his debut over the distance.
Aucklander Teresa Adam has slashed nearly five minutes off the old race record on her way to victory over triple world champion Mirinda Carfrae .
It was Adams' second race over the distance after finishing second at Taupo in March.
