The 31-year-old has retired from international rugby league, after 45 tests for New Zealand.

Mannering says his favourite memory is from his first camp with the side in 2006, where he got to play with Kiwis greats such as Stacey Jones, Ruben Wiki and Nigel Vagana .

He says he had always looked up to those guys, so to play along side them in that jersey was pretty special.

Wests Tigers props Ben Matulino and Russell Packer have followed Mannering into international retirement.
