Shane Jones has tapped into the concerns of Fonterra shareholders

Shane Jones has tapped into the concerns of Fonterra shareholders

The Regional Development Minister has asked Agriculture Minister Damien O'Connor to look at restructuring the co-operative.

He also says Fonterra Chairman John Wilson should catch the next cab out of town.

Fonterra shareholder Jacqueline Rowarth is questioning why Fonterra's investing so much in producing milk overseas.

She says it should be promoting milk produced here that's mostly grass-fed, free range and has high human and animal welfare benefits.

Rowarth is wondering why Fonterra is going for global domination in milk when it's already dominant in the grass-fed product, without overseas investment.
