The Ministry of Education is disappointed a teachers union is already considering strike action over an offer to increase teachers' pay

Primary school teachers will start voting today on the Ministry's offer - in the first in a string of meetings around the country.

The Ministry is reminding the union to make arrangements with schools to ensure they can stay open while teachers attend meetings over the next fortnight.
