Financial services company, Worldclear, claims its employee Richard Whitham drained 26 of the company's bank accounts and put the money in his own personal ones.
Worldclear thinks he's now overseas, but Whitham says he just left abruptly on holiday and will be back next week.
A High Court judge has placed a freezing order over Whitham's personal bank accounts, and a company he directs has been put into temporary liquidation
The judge says the claims by Worldclear have "substantial support".
