Jennifer Lopez has praised Alex Rodriguez for being "beautifully loving" to her twins

The 'Shades of Blue' actress shared a video of her boyfriend reading handmade Father's Day cards from his daughters, Natasha, 13, and 10-year-old Ella - who he has with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis - and 10-year-old Max and Emme, her own kids with ex-husband Marc Anthony and paid a touching tribute to their "fearless leader"

In the video, Alex kissed the cards three times and said: "You guys made my day."

In her heartfelt tribute accompanying the video, Jennifer wrote on Instagram: "Appreciating you and loving you today and everyday for being our fearless leader, our everyday hero, for making us all laugh and enjoy this adventure we are all on together in every moment... for being the ringmaster to this traveling circus we call our life!! We love you today and everyday...

"Happy Fathers Day to the most loving daddy to Tashi and Ella!! And thank you my love for being so beautifully loving to Emme and Max. Your kindness and generosity is never taken for granted. We are all so lucky to have you in our lives... #daddysday #amor #blinkingthetearsaway #lovehimlots.(sic)"

And the 48-year-old star ensured Marc wasn't forgotten on the special day either, as she used her Instagram Story to wish him a Happy Father's Day.

She also shared a text exchange with her former spouse, who sent her a picture of his cards and gifts.

He wrote: "Jen I literally can't. Came home to this and lost it. God I love them so."

But his handmade card from the twins came with an unfortunate spelling mistake, much to the amusement of him and the 'On the Floor' singer.

Marc texted: "And what's this? Farter? Really? hahahahaha."

Jennifer replied with a number of cry-laughing emojis.

Meanwhile, Alex paid a touching tribute to his daughters on his own Instagram account and praised them for making him a "better person".

He wrote: "Today has an entirely different meaning to me than I did when I first became a father to Tashi and then my Ella Bella.

"It's an incredible responsibility, and one I have always treasured. But as I grow older and proudly watch them doing the same, not only are my kids my pride and joy and number one priority - now they also motivate me.

"Every day, Tashi and Ella make me a better dad and a better person. Being a father is the greatest job in the world, more than any career I could have dreamed of as a kid. To all the fathers out there, never stop trying to be the best. I don't. #HappyFathersDay."
