Heather Locklear has been hospitalised after allegedly threatening to shoot herself

The ‘Melrose Place’ actress is believed to have been taken into hospital on Sunday (17.06.18) afternoon after a family member called 911 over concerns the star was threatening to take her own life

According to TMZ, law enforcement sources claim an unnamed family member phoned police out of concern for Heather’s safety, and both the Ventura County Fire and Sheriff's Departments responded at the star’s home.

The caller claimed the ‘Dynasty’ star was acting erratically and threatening to hurt herself, and was allegedly looking for her firearm.

Heather is said to have been transported to hospital from her home where she is allegedly receiving a psychiatric evaluation.

TMZ also reports the incident was purely medical, and although police arrived on the scene, there was nothing criminal about the alleged events.

The concerns over Heather’s safety come just months after she was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic battery for allegedly assaulting boyfriend, Chris Heisser, at her California home on February 25, where she was also arrested on four counts of misdemeanor battery on a police officer and one charge of resisting or obstructing a police officer after she was said to have lashed out at the cops who were called to attend the incident.

Whilst the domestic battery charges were later dropped, Heather still faced court for her other charges in April, where she entered a plea of not guilty.

In previously released court documents, Senior Deputy Sheriff Keith Hall claimed Heather bit one of the officers, and was "agitated and uncooperative".

The documents stated: "Locklear walked to her bedroom and began to close the door. Deputy Alldredge put his foot in the doorway to prevent her from closing it, and to continue the investigation. Heather attempted to push Deputy Alldredge out of the doorway, and screamed, 'Get the f**k out of my house!'

"She battered Deputy Alldredge by kicking him in his shin in an attempt to get his foot out of the doorway. The source was strong enough to force Deputy Alldredge's leg out of the doorway."

Documentation also alleges Heather threatened to "shoot" the officers if they stepped foot on her property again, which lead to a search of the Thousand Oaks home for a firearm, although officers didn't find anything in the search.
