Tiffany Haddish compared the Kardashian family to the 'Star Wars' franchise at the MTV Movie & TV Awards

The 38-year-old comedian was host of the annual ceremony - which was filmed on Saturday (16.06.18) but broadcast on Monday (18.06.18) - and kicked off the event by taking a pop at the famous clan, much to the amusement of audience members Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian West

They were seen laughing as Tiffany said: "That family is basically the 'Star Wars' franchise.

"They make a ton of money, a new one's always popping up, and they're ruled by a bossy overlord who sleeps in a mask and she love black men."

Tiffany also poked fun at Zendaya, with a reference to one of the jokes featured in her own movie 'Girls Trip'.

She said: "And you know who else I love? Zendaya. She taught me how to model. She told me how to model and I taught her how to grapefruit. What!.

"She 21 now, y'all! She a grown woman. You gotta know how to do that if you want a husband."

Tiffany had nine costume changes at the event at the Barker Hanger in Los Angeles, including one where she donned a tight-fitting white dress similar to the one worn by Cardi B when she debuted her baby bump on 'Saturday Night Live' and performed her own reworked version of 'Bodak Yellow', which included lyrics about getting pregnant by Michael B. Jordan from just one look from the actor.

She also appeared in a 'Black Panther'-related skit with her 'Girls Trip' co-stars Queen Latifah and Jada Pinkett Smith, which saw Tiffany lament not getting paid for their movie, while the others admitted they had received "dumb money", before dancing to TLC's 'Waterfalls'.

Tiffany also had cause to celebrate at the event as she picked up Best Comedic Performance for 'Girls Trip'.

Accepting the accolade, she quipped: "They didn't tell me that I had won ... I was changing and they were like, 'Put those panties back on!' "
