Work on Lyttelton Port's new cruise ship berth is underway

The 56-million dollar berth will be located between Cashin Quay and the entrance to the Inner Harbour.
It will be the first custom-built facility in New Zealand designed to accommodate the world's largest cruise ships.
Preparation work began earlier this month, and the next phase - pile driving will begin early next month.
