Strong praise for Fletcher Building's renewed focus on building homes

The construction giant is introducing a simpler business model, to slash costs by 30 million dollars a year.
Part of the shake up will see a panelisation factory built in Auckland, which could produce new homes in as little as nine weeks.
Bruce Kohn , from the New Zealand Building Industry Federation, says the company should be commended.
He says mass production is crucial to solve the housing crisis.
Fletcher Building says it will take on fewer large-scale projects as part of its restructure.
