Just one member of the bronze medal-winning Commonwealth Games squad will tour with the New Zealand women's basketball team next month

Kalani Purcell will captain a fresh faced Tall Ferns squad which features four debutants, with Alyssa Hirawani, Tera Reed, Ashleigh Karaitiana and Nicole Ruske in line to don the black singlet for the first time.

The Tall Ferns are bolstered by the inclusion of five US College players who were unavailable for the Commonwealth Games, led by University of California forward Penina Davidson.

The Tall Ferns will play in Japan and Taiwan.
