NRL.com understands the former New South Wales State of Origin prop will fly to Auckland with the Sharks and will be available for Friday night's match against the Warriors.
Woods only joined the Bulldogs this season after playing 146 matches for the Wests Tigers, but the club is under huge salary cap pressure.
Bulldogs, Sharks and Woods' management reportedly came to an agreement this morning and Woods is believed to have taken a pay cut to join Cronulla for the remainder of his contract which runs until the end of 2021.
