More needs to be done to strengthen Kiwisaver as young New Zealanders become more reliant on the scheme for retirement

A survey of 18 to 34 years old show only half expect to own a home within their lifetime.
67 per cent of participants expect to be using KiwiSaver with an average balance of more than 200 thousand dollars when they stop working.
CEO Richard Klipin says older New Zealanders are retiring with property assets and super, but that isn't the case for the younger generation.
He says young people need to think about these issues early in life because they can't rely on the property market.
