A Dunedin bar with a spotty past will close by the end of the month

Heff's Hotel in South Dunedin was the subject of a hearing last month after a complaint was made alleging publican Stephen Clark was drunk behind the bar.
Police alcohol harm prevention officer, Sergeant Ian Paulin, hs told the Otago Daily Times the Alcohol Regulatory and Licensing Authority decided to cancel Heff's Hotel's licence.
The bar is infamous for other incidents, including a brawl at a gang wake - and patrons drinking there on Christmas day.
